Open Space Authority - Conservation Grazing with Clayton Koopmann
Fifth generation rancher, Clayton Koopman, shares how he cares for the land through the Open Space Authority's conservation grazing program. Conservation grazing is a land management technique where cattle are strategically placed on the land to graze and reduce the amount of dry vegetation and nonnative plants. Conservation grazing benefits the ecosystem by allowing native plants to thrive, helping sensitive and endangered species who depend on short grass for survival and reducing the amount of vegetation that can act as fuel for wildfires.
