Bay Area Backstage

Ep 29 Iggy Pop Mosswood Meltdown is in the books! I’m working on a Bay Area Backstage show that will showcase videos from the lineup, along with an Iggy Pop video we shot on location. Frankie and the Witch Fingers? Fun stuff. I like this band! Their video is great ?? ??!!retro yet modern, if that’s a thing. low-fi, and I love that. MC for the Event ? John Waters is like that snarky uncle you know is a bit off, kind of like Dr. Smith. He has so many ways to cut you down that you have to be on point and attack right back when he targets you, whether he hits your looks or something else. He is just snarky, but funny our original, perverted-before-it-was-a-thing filmmaking risk-taker.He's a nut, but a maverick who was in the press before the concerts saying he feels at home at Mosswood as opposed to the SF street fair. He said punk rock people hate everything and everyone, so "that's why we get along." That guy and Iggy Pop go back to a movie I like !! Cry baby. it’s wacky, rockabilly, and probably captures what he experienced growing up. He is a maverick, snarky bastard, but eternally cool in unconventional ways.
